Carl Specht, CPA, Managing Member
Carl is the Managing Member of our firm, a graduate of Bloomfield College (1971), and a New Jersey CPA since 1976.
His background encompasses over 40 years of accounting and auditing experience, with primary emphasis on service in not for profit, manufacturing, wholesale, retail and service organizations.
Carl is a member of the Board of Directors and Past President of the Hudson County Chapter of the New Jersey Society of Certified Public Accountants, former Vice-President of the New Jersey State Society of CPA’s, former Trustee of the Scholarship Fund and past chairman of the Community Service and Meetings & Special Events Committees of the State Society.
Active in the community, he is a Past President of Accountants for the Public Interest-NJ and has been a site coordinator and volunteer preparer for the IRS Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program for over 30 years. He has been awarded the Volunteer Achievement Award for Outstanding Accounting Service by API-National and the President’s Award for Volunteer Service Leadership and Volunteer of the Year Award by API-NJ. He is also a recipient of the NJSCPA Community Service Award and has been included in the 50 Over 50 CPAs List and the CPA List. He is also a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Institute of Management Accountants and the National Association of Tax Practitioners.

James E Templeton, CPA, Member
Jim holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Rutgers University (1977) and has practiced as a CPA since 1978, and is a registered Public School Accountant. His experience spans over 40 years, starting as an accounting clerk in a New York brokerage firm. He was a Controller of various companies, including a subsidiary of the McDonnell Douglas Corporation.
Jim is a member of the Board of Directors and Past President of the Hudson County Chapter of the New Jersey Society of Certified Public Accountants, and a past Trustee of the New Jersey State Society of CPA’s.
Jim is also a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the National Association of Tax Practioners and the Government Finance Officers Association of New Jersey.
